This horrific image was taken three years ago. I still look as bad, just older.
There's a more recent picture of me here. I'm the one with sunglasses on. On the more serious, but no less sad side, I have a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics from Leicester University, and an MSc in Physical Methods of Materials Characterisation from Warwick University, during which I did a project at The Welding Institute, near Cambridgeshire. Now, I'm doing a PhD in advanced electron microscopy of III-V semiconductor materials.
The rest of the time, I'm either sitting in a very narrow boat on a three-quarters empty reservoir trying to go backwards as fast as possible, or I'm trying to persuade the members of Sheffield University's Film Unit that they should listen to what I'm saying, as I'm technically in charge on the grounds that they elected me as chair.
